Entertaining story telling

4 out of 5

This was referred to as "spoken word" by another reviewer, which it is not. It is storytelling, with humor used as the delivery mechanism. Devin tells the story of his search for love with a girl he met while riding a bus to the KC Fringe in 2009 and what has happened since. I won't tell you more, so as to avoid spoiling the ending for you. Devin did a good job of incorporating humor into his story. I saw this show because I am friends with Devin. I normally stick with the shows that are drama and drama with comedy, focused on social justice issues. It is very hard to rate this show, having to compare it with a totally different type of shows that I normally see. Compared to other shows of this type, I would rate it a strong "4." Compared to the type of shows that I normally see, I would rate it a "3."
