"Whose Line" style comedy!

5 out of 5

I drove home from this show still chuckling about it. I was entertained by it even after I left the venue - what more can you ask for?

Sure, there were awkward moments. And a few not-so-funny fall-flat-on-their-faces moments. But that's the nature of improve, and there's no editing out the not-so-great bits when it's live theater. And those bits were small and insignificant compared to the funny bits - funny in a "that was a good joke" way AND funny in a "making fun of themselves for falling flat way". Because the mark of a good showman (or woman) is the ability to play through adversity, and this group has that in spades (trust me, the audience tossed them some very difficult suggestions!).

I admit, I don't really understand "The Nightmare" part of the show. I much preferred the mini games and challenges, and would be just as happy to see an entire show about that. The biggest laughs (oh, that jump rope joke will so stay with me...) came from those skits.

Bottom line, this group had everything, even down to the nuance of the girl singing softly in the background to set a scene. They worked well together, picked each other up, mocked each other (when appropriate) and were so much fun to watch.

Definitely a great show to go see!
